Possibility to unlock a X300SE to X300? - 2005/04/09 17:50 Hello!

I got a Sapphire X300SE 128MB that use the same design as the X300 card. Now I wonder if there is any possibilites to unlock this by flashing it with a BIOS? I got something about checksum isn't the same as the original BIOS, is there anyway to bypass this? I tried the F switch but no success .

Hope someone might got a clue what to do and if it might be possible.

Regards,
Nicklas

Re:Possibility to unlock a X300SE to X300? - 2005/04/11 23:59 I have no clue... But well if I have a spare minute I will check around and see if I can find some details about this. But I haven't seen much about it while cruising so far...

Re:Possibility to unlock a X300SE to X300? - 2005/04/12 00:57 There are no pipes to unlock. It's 128bit memory on the X300 versus 64bit memory on the X300SE. You can't change that.

Re:Possibility to unlock a X300SE to X300? - 2005/04/12 17:09 Isn't possible that they locked throught BIOS so it's 64-bit instead of 128-bit?

Re:Possibility to unlock a X300SE to X300? - 2005/04/12 17:37 No as that is linked to the memory used on the card. If the memory is only 64-bit then you can't use it as 128-bit or you will just kill it...

Re:Possibility to unlock a X300SE to X300? - 2005/04/18 21:47 Look at this review and the 3rd page, might just be 128-bit because it's a review sample?
