Which Benchmarks Tools do you use? - 2005/04/08 17:42 I was just wondering what you all are using to benchmark you graphics cards? cause there are a lot but I might not know em all so maybe you guys can show me which ones you use.

Re:Which Benchmarks Tools do you use? - 2005/05/18 02:04 Hey there,

I primarily use the Futuremark benchies (3DMark2001, 3DMark03 & 3DMark05). I also use Aquamark3 because it is a better "Real World" test of the graphics card unlike the Futuremark benchmarks that are synthetic. And lastly I use SiSoftware Sandra which has a few graphic based benchmarks. I don't know much about these (Whether they are synthetic or not) but they seem to do an accurate job of comparing cards.

Re:Which Benchmarks Tools do you use? - 2005/05/18 19:09 Yeah, that is a bit the same as I am using... I was just wondering if there would be other benchmark tools that some of you are using to stress the video card.

Re:Which Benchmarks Tools do you use? - 2005/05/19 00:01 Of course also 3DMark03/05 and Aquamark3 for benching the card. For real Stress testing I use Rthdribl.

What exactly is Rthdribl, I haven't heard of it before?

You can find more information on the below link and also the download links. Rthdribl is a "Real-time High Dynamic Range Image-Based Lighting" demo. DirectX(R) 9.0 high-precision texture formats and version-2.0 of Pixel Shader represent real-time true HDR rendering.

Re:Which Benchmarks Tools do you use? - 2005/05/19 10:51 Damn you are too fast for me Mavke!

I like Rthdribl because it really kicks the cards ass. It's always giving me the highest temps at all. So if Rthdribl runs fine, everything runs fine.
