Club 3D 6600gt - 2005/03/22 04:10 I bought the Club 3D 6600gt last weekend at it seems to have a glitch of some kind... I've tried two games (Hitman contracts & Doom3) and it starts to act weird in both of them. First its all fine but after a while ~10-15min the graphics start to go all weird. black fan-like spikes appear from the top left and center of the screen in hitman and in doom 3 you see the same black shapes in windows and smoke.
Bios is version 5.43.02.39.00
drivers are version 7.1.8.4
so that should be alright(?)
my power is a 300W Huntkey (unknown to me)
and the fan on the card is working fine.
Please help!
(edit) my motherboard is Epox8k5A-series, might that be the problem?

Re:Club 3D 6600gt - 2005/03/22 05:12 Try some other drivers like 75.90 or 76.10 beta and let me know if it fixes it. Also make sure the case has proper ventilation and gets plenty of cool air.

Good luck.

Re:Club 3D 6600gt - 2005/03/23 00:14 thanks for the advice but actually i didnt even try it... i returned the card, ordered another one from a different store (PNY 6600gt) and i bought a chassis fan. I think it might be my powersource thats causing the trouble, cause as i was returning the club3d card i noticed it read "power supply 350W or more" oops... well i'll try with the new card first before i start buying a new power. Wish me luck! The new card arrives tomorrow...

Re:Club3D 6600GT - 2005/03/23 01:04 Good luck. But a good 350W should normally be enough. Well all depends and what you have attached to it ofcourse. If it is like my PC then it won't be enough. But I have a bit to much in it...
