Sapphire Radeon X1800 GTO unlocking, how?! - 2006/09/07 08:37 I want to unlock my Sapphire Radeon X1800 GTO's pipes and turn it into a XL... Can it be done like you describe with the HIS one? If not how can I do it? Thanks...

Re:Sapphire Radeon X1800 GTO unlocking, how?! - 2006/09/07 08:45 Yes, it should work in a similar way. Mind you not all Radeon X1800 GTO's will unlock, but there is a good chance. And certainly cause you have a Sapphire version.

Re:Sapphire Radeon X1800 GTO unlocking, how?! - 2006/09/13 19:31 Hi, I tried unlocking my ATI Radeon X1800 GTO and turning it into a XL. While the flash part went ok the pipes didn't unlock, nor the card was detected as a XL. Is there anything I can do? Or it is just not possible?

Did you try using RivaTuner to actually check if you can enable the extra pipelines? Currently both ATI and NVIDIA use a hardware locking method to lock pipes and currently on most cards they can't be enabled anymore by software or BIOS flashing.

If you could direct me to a Rivaturner guide for unlocking the pipes or maybe write it down yourself(if its short) would be nice..
