Problems with my new X1600 pro - 2006/09/10 11:16 Hi all

i recently bought a sapphire radeon x1600 pro 256mb agp, there seems to be problems with the memory's speed, after installing and downloading latest drivers, the memory clock speed is 297 mhz, i am having no problems with the core clock speed which is running at 500mhz, but the 256mb memory's clock speed is stuck at 297 for some odd reason, i am pretty sure its suppose to be alot faster then that. Could sombody please help me out i just bought this and already i got problems

Re:Problems with my new X1600 pro - 2006/09/10 14:24 I am using different card. What is your stock GPU and Memory before you update driver? My ATI PowerColor x1600pro 512MB AGP is Core 500MHz and Memory 400MHz.

Which driver do you use for update? From Sapphire website?
Which program are you using to shown your GPU and Memory speed?

Re:Problems with my new X1600 pro - 2006/09/10 20:20 i have no idea what was the stock memory and gpu speed was bro, i am not over clocking anything, it is suppose to be on stock right now, I downloaded the ati catalyst 6.8 drivers from the ati website. The program i am using to show me the gpu speed and memory speed is the Catalyst control center, made by ati it self

Re:Problems with my new X1600 pro - 2006/09/10 21:06 I have also noticed that when i run atitool, it shows me the memory bus width at 64 bit, since the video card is 128bit shouldnt this be set to 128 also? And below that it shows the ammount of "active pipelines" this number is at 4!!! Doesnt this video card come with 12 pipelines???

Re:Problems with my new X1600 pro - 2006/09/10 21:39 hmmm personally Lose ati tool . as for the pp being at 4 that is what the card has on it but it does 3 passes per pixel pipes 4x3=12 similar to the x1900 with its 48 pixel pipelines 16actual x 3 passes = 48 pixel pipes uninstall ati tool and run riva tuner and see what it says then ...

Re:Problems with my new X1600 pro - 2006/09/11 02:49 Which version of ATITool do you run? I am using the laterst v25 beta pre-16-2.

Maybe you can check CCC when ATITool is not running, whether it run on stock GPU and Memory speed, which I believe is around 500MHz for core and 400MHz for Memory.
