How to flash without a floppy? - 2006/01/22 00:36 Okay, I found BIOS files to flash my Radeon X850 PRO 256MB AGP card. I've got two diffrent BIOS files...one is for the Radeon X850 XT and the other is the Radeon x850 XT PE. Now the question is I don't have a floppy...can I make a Ms DOS startup CD that will work like a boot disk?

Re:How to flash without a floppy? - 2006/01/22 04:41 You can flash with a CD. But it is recommended that you back up your original BIOS first.

Re:How to flash without a floppy? - 2006/01/22 06:50 My advice would be to stick it on a flash memory card mate, far less hassle than a CD...

It is not recommended, you have to make first a backup of your Original BIOS. Cause when it goes wrong you will need it big time. So make a backup first and also provide it to us! Which card do you have exactly? Brand?

Well first you can best get ATITool, which is a software that can backup the BIOS to a file from within Windows. Launch ATITool and then you use the Dump BIOS function and dump the BIOS to a file (to backup the Orginal BIOS). Once that is done, zip it up and give it a unique name and attach it on this thread. And also provide us which card you have exactly...like brand and so on.
