ATI promises hard launch with R580 - 2006/01/12 11:34
ATI has received well deserved criticism with its current line of GPUs, and while ATI did its best to avoid paper launches, the company just couldn't keep up due to known and unknown circumstances, however, ATI promises to change that with its R580 launch.
In our meeting with ATI, we talked extensively about the issues ATI had with product availability and how ATI planned to changed that. Obviously enough, ATI had lost the community as well as the media's trust with its unfulfilled promises, but ATI was determined this time and promised once more to only launch the R580 if the retail products from its partners were ready to go.
