Radeon X800XL and R520 16 pipes? - 2005/08/28 21:51
Soo? Is a pipe a pipe? GeForce 6800's have 16 pipes 6 vertex units, is there some special coating, lining, diameter. Maybe 700MHz, 800MHz core, on the R520, acts as a pixel pump? Hehe, seems like overkill with the chip to me.
In most circumstances to get more out, you have to put more in...do you not? Unless they defie physics.
