Flashing Radeon X800XT PE to X850XT PE? - 2005/08/19 16:28 Has anybody been able to flash an AGP Radeon X800XT PE to X850XT PE? Just wondering since I see quite a few X850XT PE BIOS images now.

Re:Flashing Radeon X800XT PE to X850XT PE? - 2005/08/20 15:30 I tried the ATI Radeon X850XT PE and the card flashed with no problem but when the driver detects the card I keep getting a driver install prompt for Unknown. I tried to manually install the X850 Series or X850XT PE driver with the Cat 5.8/Driver list and no go. I mess around with it some more this weekend and get back to you.

Re:Flashing Radeon X800XT PE to X850XT PE? - 2005/08/24 16:15 The PowerColor Radeon X850XT PE BIOS I found was the best one and everything installed without a hitch! The only problem is graphics corruption but I was happy to see it work almost perfectly! Maybe some volt modding will make it work.

Re:Flashing Radeon X800XT PE to X850XT PE? - 2005/08/24 23:01 I didn't have a chance to try any games but at the desktop I would see lines that are multi-colored and refreashing the screen, right click then left click refresh, wouldn't make them go away so I assume it was due to the card running out of spec.

I did try the PowerColor Radeon X850XT BIOS and that worked but since I have a X800XT PE, I'd rather use the X850XT PE BIOS. Oh well, I am happy everything is working after that whole ordeal I had with the CPU waterblock!

Re:Flashing Radeon X800XT PE to X850XT PE? - 2005/08/24 23:17 Well I think the Radeon X800XT PE is clocked at the same rate as the Radeon X850XT, so you should better use the X850XT BIOS. The Radeon X850XT PE is just clocked to high for your X800XT PE to handle...
