Okay, if the card really hangs your PC during boot, your last chance is to stop the BIOS from being read during boot. To do this you can pull one of the pins required for communcation to GND. I think this is what you meant when asking about tweezer method, it also described in this thread. Flashed GeForce 6200, with wrong BIOS gave blank screen!
Notice your chip number doesn't have to be starting 25Fxxxx, that just a common type of Atmel flash chips used. The chip can be located on the top or bottom of the card, you might even have to remove the cooler to look for it. It will probaly be a small black chip and have around 8 pins. You should write down the paintings on every chip you find and post it here or use Google to find out if its an serial EEPROM.
