new hd ide to sata - 2006/11/02 15:02 hi guys, im looking at a new hd

curently have a seatate ide 100,7200 rpm, 8 meg cache, getting a bit noisy now

looking at a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 drive, (16meg cache) sata2,

will i notice the difference? ive seen prett good reviews of it, i was going to get a raptor but the price for the size is just to much for me,

Re:new hd ide to sata - 2006/11/02 17:16 SataII is much faster as IDE , look before if you have SataII connector on your Mainboard , sataII hdd´s works too at an SataI connector but then it isnt so fast ,

but trust me , don´t buy a raptor , buy an maxtor maxline III plus or maxline pro

and yes , you notice the difference between ide and sataII at file transfers
