Re:ASUS motherboard equals crap overclocking? - 2006/03/02 16:11 As I know, some hardware won't have the same effect on certain motherboard. Example: 4x 512MB of OCZ Platinum, will run fine, and 4x 512MB of Mushkin Redline, won't let you boot. It's maybe the same thing for VGA card!

You should buy an A8N-E if you're not going to do SLI, with an AMD 3200+, it's running fine...
I wanted the ASUS P4GD1 because it supports the ASUS ct-479 so I could keep my Pentium M too. But if I were to get an AMD Athlon 64 motherboard it would be an ASUS A8N-SLI with the heat pipe cooler.

Yeps maybe...that's the only explaination so far, incompatible PC configuration...

It's an ASUS A8N-SLI Premium and ASUS A8N32-SLI Premium... But I got a friend that has an ASUS A8N-SLI Premium, and the heat pipe is crap. His CPU is at 29°C, while is mobo at 32°C, when I have an A8V, at 19°C and CPU a 28°C. I think the only good heat pipe from those 2 board is the ASUS A8N32. But A8N-SLI Premium still a good board for overclocking! By the way, I never saw that ASUS P4GD1... It's the first time I see a s478 that support PCI Express...
