NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v4.5 software and your feedback? - 2008/09/01 20:43 There you have it, a new version is again available. We did get some more BIOS's and with the help of xtremetheme we have a new update to add some extra support. This is a slightly bigger release though we are now able to offer support for the newest GeForce 9 series graphics cards. Upcoming features or things you would like to see. Let us know and we will see what is possible and/or feasible.

NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v4.5 Software

And please provide your feedback... That way we will be able to support you even better! Also provide your original BIOS as that help a lot to get thing better supported in the next versions!

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v4.5 software and your feedback? - 2008/09/02 10:26 In last version of NiBiTorn I was seeing a difference when changing checksum after saving. In the first pass before all changes the checksum was 30. In the second pass after all changes the checksum was 2C and wen I push the button save BIOS and then in advanced information to rescan BIOS the checksum was E7. Is it a bug or checksum correction? Because the different checksum I use the checksum generator of RivaTuner after all changes of BIOS in NiBiTor.

We are looking into this but the checksum get's correctly set and saved only when you save the BIOS as there it takes into account all changes. However what you state sounds a bit strange so we are looking into this as we did some update on the checksum due to some newer BIOS having a change, and you never know. But the first check we did confirm the checksum is fine when the BIOS is saved. But stay tuned.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v4.5 software and your feedback? - 2008/09/02 22:22 I have an ASUS F8Sn-C1 with a GeForce 9500M GS and I still have problems when I try to use NiBiTor v4.5. It crashes and gives me a blue screen with a register address. I have the latest drivers from ASUS which match the same ones from NVIDIA. Any help is appreciated.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v4.5 software and your feedback? - 2008/09/03 00:52 I noticed my BIOS is now supported, the GeForce 9500M GS and the core clock rates are being displayed as the shader clock rate values, so there is some type of linking mechanism going on. Because even if I manually correct either the core clock rates or the shader clock rates, as soon as I go to another tab and then come back to the clock rates tab, the values will be linked again. It's not the proper linkage either, it is the same value repeated.

Reported Clocks
3D : 950MHz - 950MHz - 400MHz
Thrtl : 550MHz - 550MHz - 200MHz
2D : 338MHz - 338MHz - 100MHz

Real Clocks
3D : 475MHz - 950MHz - 400MHz
Thrtl : 275MHz - 550MHz - 200MHz
2D : 169MHz - 338MHz - 100MHz

Any ideas? I don't really want to flash the wrong core values, so I'm going to wait for some feedback. If you can check this out and let me know if this is an issue or something that needs a fix somehow?

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v4.5 software and your feedback? - 2008/09/03 06:28 It still can't read my BIOS. I get can't start driver, as always... So what is going on here and am I the only one with this issue?

If you extracted the full package with all the files in the same directory it will work just fine. And no, it won't work on Vista 64-bit as we are not paying out of ours pocket the driver signing license, unless all you guys put the money on the table. You can already be lucky you get a free tool that work okay in all other operating systems.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v4.5 software and your feedback? - 2008/09/03 21:28 Thanks, the newest version of NiBiTor v4.5a has no little bug with checksum changing after saving. But I forgot to send original BIOS of my card, the Leadtek WinFast PX8800 GT and now I correct this mistake.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v4.5 software and give feedback? - 2008/09/03 21:28 You guys are crazy with the constant updates, good job. Just wanted to let you know that there still is a clock rate link problem going on between the shaders and core clock in the latest version updated version though.
