Re:NiBiTor v2.9a Feedback... - 2006/06/11 13:14 Hi, this is my 1st post on your cool site. My first and one-and-only problem is with NiBiTor v2.9a, because when I start the program only show its frame and nothing name its card nor voltage, tempeture and I didn't save its BIOS too. My card is a Gainward BLISS 7900 GT PCX Golden Sample 512MB Special Edition. Thank you for your answer...

Re:NiBiTor v2.9a Feedback... - 2006/06/11 18:57 I got a XFX GeForce 7900 GTX which is set at 650/1600MHz and running now at 690/1680MHz. With NiBiTor v2.9 an v2.9a, I can't set a new memory timings, and test these. No possibilty to save. I got nvFlash v5.31 and I can flash a new BIOS in, but all got TimingSet 3 in BIOS.

Re:NiBiTor v2.9a Feedback... - 2006/08/11 19:38 Hi, first have to say thanks for all your work with NiBiTor. I have a GeForce 7800G S+, and found another voltage option "?.?V", ID 00 and 01. I assigned it as voltage and set it up as a 3D voltage flashed the BIOS, but it didn't change the running 3D voltage, so I guess it's another name for 1.2V... Is that normal, a dead end option?

Re:NiBiTor v2.9a Feedback... - 2006/08/11 21:06 The "?.?V" is an uknown voltage, the only way for NiBiTor to make a educated guess is by extending the voltage table. Or by the voltage editor but even so its only a best guess and it and may not work...

Re:NiBiTor v2.9a Feedback... - 2006/08/11 21:16 Would there be an entry if it wasn't an option? Also it annoys me how in anything where the graphics card is identified it says GeForce 7800 GS, no GS+. I changed the boot flash to say GeForce 7800 GS+ but how would you change it for everything?

Euh, quite a strange question you have. Of course when you just launch NiBiTor it will show all blank... It is a tool to backup and modify the BIOS, but you first need to backup the BIOS of course. So go to the Tools tab and use the Read BIOS function. Once you have save the BIOS to a file you can than open it in NiBiTor to check the details. Please also attach yoru BIOS so we can have a look.

As explained already quite often you can select the TimingSet you want to use! The TimingSet is specific per card, so what you need to change are the value reported on the active TimingSet. So in your case for changing the timings, you need to change the values of TimingSet 3.

Well since the GS+ isn't an official extension, but something that Gainward invented to make the difference between the normal GS (G70 core with only 16 pipes) and the GS+ (G71 core with full 24 pipes). So as there is no ID to assigned by NVIDIA you can't make that change and it will always be seen as a GeForce 7800 GS, cause that is what NVIDIA has as AGP card based upon the GeForce 7800 core.
