My system is finally coming, on water cooling... - 2006/09/13 20:59 Well I am finally getting my system they way I want it. All I need to do is get a 2nd GeForce 7600 GT and one more Danger Den Maze4 GPU black. My new case should be here in a few days (its an Iwin 12 bay full tower) my Swiftech chipset water block will be here tomorrow and I gotten my GeForce 7600 GT now on a Danger Den Maze 4 block. But once I get everything in I will be doing a dual water cooling loop. One for CPU with radiator and one more for the two video card and mainboard chipset. Then it be time for serious overclocking, muhahahaha...

Re:My system is finally coming, on water cooling... - 2006/09/13 23:00 Lol, maybe you could come show me some overclocking tricks... Let us know what you get and how ya got it, would ya?I could use some tips.

What are the rest of your system specifications? I've always wanted to try water cooling, but it kinda scares me. I also swap parts too often to commit to a water cooling setup. Maybe I'll try it out on one of my spare mainboards and CPU's. I got all kinds of extra Socket A parts...

Re:My system is finally coming, on water cooling... - 2006/09/14 03:15 Nice mate. I can't wait for see the score you will do... You will do some voltage modding to the card?

Re:My system is finally coming, on water cooling... - 2006/09/14 05:51 Water cooling isn't as hard as it looks just tempramental (which requires some patience as most overclockers will tell ya) it is definetely worth going to water cooling... As for voltage modding, yeppers I will be as soon as I get the second card and get a second water cooling block.

System Specifications...
- EVGA nForce 4 Intel SLI Socket 775
- Intel Pentium D 805 at 4.0GHz (can do 4.25GHz)
- OCZ Technology DDR2 667MHz (may change for Corsair)
- EVGA e-GeForce 7600 GT KO 256MB (for SLI)

As for tricks, all I am going to do is put the cards and northbridge on one loop while the CPU is on a seperate loop (hopefully this will keep the cards cooler and CPU as well). And then use voltage modding guide on the GeForce 7600 GT's. I am not sure though if the memory will go much higher then 1736MHz currently. Any higher I push it my screen goes all nuts...

Oh yeah I am glueing heatsinks (Arctic Silver Thermal Glue) on all mosfets on the cards and on the mainboard this should help out with any stability issues that may arrise. I will have pictures of computer now and after I get my full tower...

Re:My system is finally coming, on water cooling... - 2006/09/14 11:07 Lovely... Just one thing I would change. I would get me an Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 and overclock it to 3GHz which will certainly bring your new system to a higher level than your current Intel Pentium D 805. Just a thought, but for the remainder it looks awesome.

I don't think the EVGA NF4 SLI Intel support Core 2 Duo. He would need to change is mainboard

Raptor, t his might be an idea, I don't know if I'm going to glue all the mofset, but this week-end, I'm starting to vmod... Well, if the memory goes well at your speed, maybe a 0.1 will only give more stability? No idea
