Palit GeForce 8800 GT Super 1GB, about VIA chipset issue? - 2008/05/19 12:30
Hi there, this is my first post so I'm sorry if this topic already exists for that card. I got it some month ago and it wasn't working cause of the shitty VIA chipses on my board. I thought they might fix it with a BIOS update or such thing but updating my BIOS didn't help. So now I'm starting to look for a fix and found lots of answers concerning the problem. Currently I don't know anymore what to do and I am very desperate with the situation.
I read fixing the card with nvFlash and NiBiTor but other sites say this works only with first series of cards. Others suggest and that would be the safest thing to buy a new mainboard. I know that currently the prices are low but I am scared that I have to reinstall Windows Vista and all programs, so I don't want to do that. The third suggestion was to use another BIOS from another the manufacturer. It seems that you guys have a lot of experience with this problem, so I hope you can help me through the situation.
