Request original XFX Radeon HD 4870 BIOS can anyone help? - 2010/01/28 08:46 I flashed my XFX Radeon HD 4870 graphics card with the ASUS BIOS and now I get no display. I used backup program wrong also and as such I have no backup to flash back. I looked for the BIOS for my card and there is none for my exact model on the XFX website. Does anyone have the original BIOS for the XFX Radeon HD 4870 with 1GB memory running at 750MHz core or can I crossflash with one?

Re:Request original XFX Radeon HD 4870 BIOS can anyone help? - 2010/01/28 13:51 I found the BIOS file that works perfectly on another website. I'm not sure if I can post the link or upload the BIOS itself, so let me know!

Normally any standard Radeon HD 4870 should do as long as it came with the same memory chips, and with that we mean same brand of memory. Since these cards can be equipped by Samsung memory, but also Hynix or others. And that will make the difference and cause such issues when you flash a different one.

That is good stuff, and glad you found a working BIOS so quickly. Very good that you got your graphics card working again, and make sure that next time you do first make a backup before trying any flashing. If you want you can attach the working BIOS but you don't have to.
