Re:Request:Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB GDDR4 BIOS... - 2007/08/21 15:05 Okay, please make a backup of the BIOS on your Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 XT GDDR4 graphics card. That way I can check it and compare it to my card. But I believe somehow it won't be the BIOS, but rather a bad card you got and you might need to get it replaced...

Re:Request:Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB GDDR4 BIOS... - 2007/08/21 17:52 Well I checked the two BIOS's you guys have supplied to mine that I just made a backup of my own Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 XT GDDR4 and they are all the same. So I can tell you right now, it has nothing to do with the BIOS. My card works perfect with this BIOS in Windows XP Pro with SP2 and using either Catalyst v7.7 or v7.8 drivers. So for the one card that is failing due to overheating, get the card replaced as soon as possible.

Re:Request:Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB GDDR4 BIOS... - 2007/08/28 05:12 Well got a system based on the MSI K9N SLI Platinum mainboard with some decent G.Skill DDR2-800 mmeory and an AMD Athlon 4200+ with Windows Vista 32-bit. Everything works great now with the Sapphire card, the GDDR4 edition that is. Like we say here this machine flies. Mavke, thank you for all your help and hope that the BIOS file helps someone else.

Re:Request:Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB GDDR4 BIOS... - 2007/08/28 10:45 Great stuff mate, as I said I own the same card, and actually just published the review about a day ago and on mine everything is working great and the BIOS is exactly the same so it could only be something else than the graphics card... Good to see you are happy now, good luck!
