Re:Radeon X1900 XTX bad flash, no adapter found can you help - 2007/08/24 00:46 Okay, I've managed to fix my problem flashed back to original BIOS with pin reset method. Unfortunately I've got another problem now, screen corruption, mainly in 2D. Anyway if anyone need to fix own card, you can thanks to W1zzard.
Fixing a Completely Gone wrong ATI BIOS Flash...

Re:Radeon X1900 XTX bad flash, no adapter found can you help - 2007/08/24 01:00 Well the corruption is gone, just by it self with no flash at all. Probably after the card warmed up it as it wasn't used for couple days. Just in case I've performed suggested command for ATIFlash to get the BIOS flashed back, to be sure that nothing left after the Radeon X1950 PRO. By the way guys, anyone have idea now how to change the model of my card so it is detected as a Radeon X1950 series?

ATIFlash v3.xx Commands...
"atiflash -p 0 -newbios orig.rom" (Force Hard Flash of BIOS)

Re:Radeon X1900 XTX bad flash, no adapter found can you help - 2007/08/24 07:46 Euh, and why would you like your card to be seen as a Radeon X1950 series? Can you explain us that? For me it sounds just like crap what you want to do as I don't see what it make as difference. But maybe you have some specific reason. I think something is feasible, but I want to know why before I invest some time in checking this out.

Well a friend of mine told me it is impossible and I like challenges so I've taken bet on that. When I thought that my card is gone I've really regret it, but now I have it back I want to win the bet. Also I've started something and went trough quite many obstacles, it would be good to finish it. Especially that I can restore card from bad flash and risk is low...

Re:Radeon X1900 XTX bad flash, no adapter found can you help - 2007/08/24 16:06 Okay, well I hope the bet is really worth it cause if else I don't want to spend time in it that would just be a waste. I did get your BIOS, so tomorrow I might just see what I can do for you.

Re:Radeon X1900 XTX bad flash, no adapter found can you help - 2007/08/27 22:26 Well okay, I didn't have much time this weekend so I could only check it today... But I tried something. Now this is your original BIOS but change only on two places in a way to match the Radeon X1950 XTX. So can you try it, but you know, this you do at your own risk. But I guess you know that already and you are well prepared.
