Request: PowerColor Radeon X800 GTO BIOS... - 2006/09/16 05:50
Hi everyone, I'm from South America and I'm writing this request because of the following... About a month ago I bought in the US a PowerColor Radeon X800 GTO for my new rig. Everything was working fine until 4 days ago when playing F.E.A.R. my video died. At first I saved the game and suddenly started seeing things in black, like if there where no textures being loaded. After that I decided to restart the game. Everything okay, but after 15 minutes the video feed got corrupted. No clear image was visible. The only thing I could see where little squares that changed color as they blinked...
So I decided to restart the entire system but no luck. Same blinking squares. If anybody wants to, I can upload a picture from my cellphone so you can take a look at what I mean by blinking squares. Since I live in South America and RMA is not so easy for me so I'm trying to fix it with the obvious things. I don't know if the problem if maybe a corrupted BIOS, so I'm making a bootable diskette with a batch file to reupload the BIOS to the card and see if that does the trick...
That's why I' requesting the BIOS... The card is a PowerColor Radeon X800 GTO with Hynix memory. If maybe any of you has a clue of what happened and knows what to do then please let me know. Thanks in advance.
