New tweak utility called GPU Voltage Tuner has been released! - 2009/02/08 13:06 Okay, for those of you that do not know this GPU Voltage Tuner utility has been released. Basically you can up your voltage to increase your clock speeds etc. All good, you do need however an EVGA specific graphics card to use this. Though a team of peeps have all ready modified the utility to lift the voltage restrictions and to use it as well on other brands. However for those who don't know what they are doing I suggest you leave well alone.

Re:New tweak utility called GPU Voltage Tuner has been released! - 2009/02/08 13:59 Thanks for sharing mate, that is indeed one tool we have been waiting for since EVGA actually announced to be working on it with some pre-release screenshots on their website. For those would are interested we have it available on our downloads section with the included patch to enabled top work on non EVGA based graphics cards as well. So enjoy, but only if you know what you are doing.

Voltage Tuner Utility v1.0 Software

Well EVGA now gives you even more ways to maximize your graphics card, with the exclusive Voltage Tuner. This utility allows you to set a custom voltage level for your GeForce GTX 295, GeForce GTX 280 or GeForce GTX 260 graphics card. Using this utility may allow you to increase your clock speeds beyond what was capable before, and when coupled with the Precision utility, it is now easier than ever to get the most from your card.

Re:New tweak utility called GPU Voltage Tuner has been released! - 2009/02/09 02:01 I have been waiting for this for a while now. It looks like if you kill the card it still voids the warranty. I am waiting for it to work on the GeForce 9 series to make it easier to test voltages versus adding to BIOS and flashing millions of times to get a good voltage.

Re:New tweak utility called GPU Voltage Tuner has been released! - 2009/02/09 08:49 Well it would be great if it is possible as well on the GeForce 9 series though it might just be a thing of the GT200 based series. And we also found something new in those BIOS's that has to do with some different voltage tweak which we are trying to dig out and get implemented with NiBiTor v5.0.

Re:New tweak utility called GPU Voltage Tuner has been released! - 2009/02/09 16:35 This post contains everything needed to integrate VT1165 voltage control into BIOS editor software. There were some questions about finalizing these new VRM settings in BIOS of NVIDIA based cards. You cannot use NiBiTor for that because the tool knows nothing about VRM's currently and works with BIOS voltage tables only, it is only allowing you to change associations between performance levels and four fixed voltages stored into VRM registers 15-18 by default. However, you can easily edit your BIOS with any Hex editor to reconfigure initialization scripts writing these four fixed voltages to VRM during post.

Thanks for the information mate, and that is correct we are looking into this and trying to get that added into NiBiTor with the next version. But it is great to get some extra information from you which is always a great added value! Thanks again and by the way do you believe there are other tweaks possible with our BIOS editor which we haven't included yet?
