What driver for ASUS Extreme N7800 GT Dual!? - 2006/02/20 22:48 Hi, I have the ASUS Extreme N7800 GT Dual, and using the ForceWare 77.77 drivers, and I am told that it is the best driver to this card, anyone who has tried another? Thanks!

Re:What driver for ASUS Extreme N7800 GT Dual!? - 2006/02/20 23:46 Well I think the best would be to use the latest beta drivers... As those are quite fast. So download the ForceWare 83.90 and try em. And can you do me a favor? Can you dump the BIOS of that Extreme N7800 GT Dual for me? And attach it on this thread? That will come in handy for getting some extra features and support added in NiBiTor (NVIDIA BIOS Editor).

Re:What driver for ASUS Extreme N7800 GT Dual!? - 2006/02/21 00:02 Thanks, I will try the driver. Regarding the BIOS, what program to use? And a manua, hehe.

Re:What driver for ASUS Extreme N7800 GT Dual!? - 2006/02/21 00:13 Well you are lucky as we just released a new version of NiBiTor. So download NiBiTor v2.7 and then start it and use the Read BIOS function. You go and select Tools and then Read BIOS to Select Device... Select the card. Then again Tools, Read BIOS and then select Read into File... And then you can save the BIOS to a file.

Once that is done you zip the BIOS file and give it an unique name and you use the attach a file option on the forums. Then it should normally get attached on this thread and I will be able to check it!

Thanks mate, I checked these and they are okay. Could you just tell me one thing when you dumped the BIOS did that involve two BIOS dumps? Cause you actually send 2 BIOS's which are completely the same but I am just wondering... Cause the way I see it now that would mean that the ASUS Extreme N7800 GT Dual has two EPPROM's with each of them their own BIOS?

Re:What driver for ASUS Extreme N7800 GT Dual!? - 2006/02/22 00:37 Yep there are two BIOS's, in the screen where I shall choose the card, there was two, bus 1 and bus 2. Let me know if you modified the BIOS's, thanks.

Re:What driver for ASUS Extreme N7800 GT Dual!? - 2006/02/22 08:36 Well if you want I could modify the BIOS, but are you willing to risk it with yoru quite expensive card? Normally we can set both GPU's to work at 1.5V instead of the normal 1.4V... That would mean that you should be able to overclock the card more then now. What are currently your maximum overclocking speeds on core and memory?

Re:What driver for ASUS Extreme N7800 GT Dual!? - 2006/05/01 14:33 Hi, I have the same card but im having some problems with games. some games seem to crash when using the alt+tab keys.
also oblivion crashes randomly sometime then after reboot it works fine again... with americas army i have those blue and red dots on my screen sometimes like when you overclock to much (thats what i had when i overclocked my previous card) but i havent overclocked this card.
i have forceware 77.77 installed and if i need to install a new driver i could use some help if you dont mind
