Re:Card won't revert to default clocks... - 2005/12/10 10:44 Sorry mate, was sleeping... Souds like PowerStrip, I know sometimes regardless of what I do it sometime don't revert the defaults, but it should remove them on uninstaling, reloading Windows would do, how do you do it, reinstallation or from an image, I recommend imaging the drive when you have your base programs and drivers all in place, does save time when overclocking and you get a snag...

Re:Card won't revert to default clocks... - 2005/12/10 11:05 Well I have been using PowerStrip since I started overclcoking my graphics card and never had this issue... But well that doesn't mean it can happen of course. I just uninstall PowerStrip and all is an normal clocks again.

Re:Card won't revert to default clocks... - 2005/12/10 11:12 Yes mate, just wondering if it was because of something the newer one does because of its trial period and doesn't like unistalling easily at all...

Re:Card won't revert to default clocks... - 2005/12/10 11:12 Sorry, forgot you were in Scotland reinstalling Windows as I type on a backup machine and I see you been pretty busy. Just after 3.00 AM here in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada I should be sleeping by now myself. But you know how it is, hehe! I kinda figured it may have been PowerStrip, anyway I messed up my Windows install with the restore point so here I am, thanks for touching base though, keep up the good work ya seem to have your hands full.

By the way, I posted a 3DMark05 score of just over 9000 a while ago if ya get a chance could ya update the top ten list for me and would ya let me know what ya think of that score maybe we could improve on it and I posted a BFG GeForce 6800 Ultra OC 512MB BIOS also don't know if its the same as the one listed but I think both of mine are the same as the serials are right together and I bought them together. Have a good day, don't work too hard.

Re:Card won't revert to default clocks... - 2005/12/10 11:20 Work too hard? No mate, in the armed forces so at present the weekends are my own, so helping here of course!

I was up till 4 this morning cracking through a bit of World of Warcraft with a friend, I miss my computer though I haven't seen her for a month and my cow of a wife has broken her, imagine the scenario...

Wife phones Husband: 'Computer don't work'
Husband says: 'What you done?'
Wife: 'It just broke'
Hubby: 'Right reinstall Windows' after finding she's completely shagged it...
Wife: 'Okay'
Wife: 'Nope still don't work, I have broke your computer'
Hubby: 'Pooh...'
Wife: 'But I want the Internet!!'
Hubby: 'Cow...'

So she broke my computer, then I had to tell her over the phone on how to build a PC (second one from old bits and bobs) took 2 hours to get her up and running with the internet again, and she's completely technophobic, and hasn't got a clue... So goto fix mine next week...

Re:Card won't revert to default clocks... - 2005/12/10 11:27 Yep sounds like my wife alright, or ex-wife about 2 years now still got to fix her machine though, she's back in Newfoundland 6000km's an can't find some one to show her how to burn a DVD! Never gonna figure em, kinda feel sorry for buddy though, hehe, armed forces? Must be British? Was in the Canadian about 20 years ago as a kid, kinda miss it, I'd better get back to that install ttyl...

Re:Card won't revert to default clocks... - 2005/12/10 11:32 Okay mate, take it easy, as for the Armed forces yes, British indeed, was planing on doing Local Foreign Service and going to Canada actually, as for wife, funny you should say, soon possibly ex-wife... Anyhow, go back to your install and let us know everything is back to normal...
