Re:6800 Ultra mod??? - 2005/01/18 08:59 insayno27, when overclocking, have you ever gotten a screen that is all messed up and pixalated and have it either sit there with that screen or restart in a couple of seconds after that screen?

I say this because I have a BFG 6800 Ultra on water and even with mild overclocks it will do what I just described... I haven't figured out why it does this yet. I changing motherboard with a new one. I have a DFI LanParty UT NF3 250Gb. With it being on water, I would like to be getting at least around that clock. So frustrating...

Re:6800 Ultra mod??? - 2005/01/18 10:41 To Texas

With my card I have only gotten mild very pixel distortion in some cases even at very high overcloks, like the 478-1320 I managed to hoax it to. But at very high clocks like that it usually locks on a screen for a few seconds and then goes again or locks permanently or re-boots. But for mine this is only at very high clocks.

Query: Do you have all your fast writes diabled? I didn't make it very far myself until I turned them off.

update your drivers too.

Re:6800 Ultra mod??? - 2005/01/18 10:50 Ahh, thanks for the response. I have had FW turned off, and on. Played with countless drivers and settings, and I seem to feel that its this model motherboard. There is another person with problems like mine with a 6800GT, I am waiting for him to reply to see what mobo he has The freezing you get is when it is trying to throttle down to a diff setting, sometimes that does crash. I have experienced that too, although I dont much now because I never go high because it isnt worth it since I have this problem...I have seen little or no people with the problem that I have, however. Only like one person here, and somewhere else also. Im thinking bout pickin up a Neo2 Platinum 754 board.
