I always make a boot disk from windows explorer by formatting a floppy and making it a boot disk and then flash from a floppy, so I dont have to deal with all these issues I have seen on these boards, if you do the same you should have better chances. If not then you are not doing something right. Every card ever built is flashable, so you can rule out that the card cant be flashed.
Half the time people flash using a CD then wonder why they have problems, some do and some dont, but flashing from a CD is not the proper way to flash so who knows. Try a Windows formatted boot disk from a floppy. People who dont have a floppy shouldnt try to flash with a CD!
CD is hit and miss, if you need a temp swap file then there is no way to write to a CD on the fly if you use that method and we recommend always flashing from a floppy regardless of who can do what with a CD.
