NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 275 edition was released a few months ago. The Atomic series of graphics cards are one that we really do get excited about when it comes to Sapphire products. Since unlike a lot of other companies who overclock, Sapphire tend to really mix it up with these particular series. We don't only see some serious clock speeds, but also something fancy in the heatsink department which always helps bring the card to a new level. With that said, we have high hopes for the Atomic version of the Radeon HD 4890. AMD's newest 40nm based Radeon HD 4770 was a great success, maybe more successful than many people expected. Together with the limited availability due to yield problems there were very few Radeon HD 4770 boards available on the market and those sold quite quickly. To counter this shortage, AMD has created the Radeon HD 4730 which is based on the RV770 which powers the Radeon HD 4800 series, yet it's heavily reduced in features. Just as an example the number of shaders has been lowered to 640 and the memory interface has just been cut down to 128-bit, but GDDR5 memory chips are still used which effectively gives it the same bandwidth as an 256-bit based Radeon HD 4830 card. - techPowerUp
Well AMD recently rolled out its latest RV790 based board running at 1GHz, and the reason why this graphics card is so special is obvious, the dream of 1GHz on your graphics chipset is now a reality. Let us recap, their RV790 core has been announced at the beginning of April this year, and it just quickly found its place in AMD's best single GPU graphics card. The RV790 runs at 850MHz, which is a significant improvement over the 750MHz core of their Radeon HD 4870 versions. NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 295 series have been the king of the hill in graphics cards performance for quite a while now. Their initial design was based on two PCB's with one set of GPU, memory and voltage regulation for each. Now NVIDIA has updated their design to cram all components onto a single PCB. While there was some speculation about such a product, many people thought it impossible to be realized due to the large die size and heat output of the GT200 chipset design.
