NeoSeeker has published a review on the PowerColor Radeon X700 PRO PCIe graphics card. PCI Express has gotten a lot more interesting with the entire lot of chipset manufacturers priming to release PCIe chipsets on the Athlon 64 side in the very short near term with the announcements of the nForce4 from NVIDIA and the K8T890 from VIA. While the high end of the market is always very enticing especially with boards like the Radeon X800's and the GeForce 6800's, one of the most popular segments in any given generation of video cards is the $200 price point which has gone from the high end in the GeForce 2 days to the middle of the road enthusiast solution today.

3DVelocity has put a
review online about the Inno3D
GeForce 6600. The Geforce 6600 is the first chip nVidia released for use with
PCI-Express. It was dubbed to be the ultimate Doom 3 card out there, blowing competition out of the water.
The PCI-Express motherboards are just now popping up here and there, most of
them having an Intel chipset.
Maybe that's why not too many people have one just yet.

OC-Serwis has done a comparison between a GeCube Radeon 9800XT and a PowerColor Radeon 9800XT. When we intend to buy a new graphic card, the first thing is to chose the manufacturer of GPU (VPU). We have two options here : nVidia or ATI. We can of course find some other manufacturers' cards some places, but these two rule on the market. Next, depending on the amount of money, we have to chose the GPU (VPU) model. Efficient and expensive or cheap and less efficient. After so much trouble, we pick the model and then comes another decision to make: which manufacturer should we chose. It is not as easy as it seems to be. The card can have the same technical parameters and therefore the same efficiency, but can be very different if it comes to the software provided, cables or any other additionals.

HardOCP published an article
on FarCry Patch 1.3 & Shader Model 3.0. Patch version 1.3 for FarCry is here and with it we
finally have Shader Model 3.0 support. Does it live up to the hype that we have
been hearing about for so long? Does it provide better image quality compared to
Shader Model 2.0?

Looking around on TrustedReviews website I noticed an article about some GeForce 6800 Roundup. TrustedReviews noticed that they had a small collection of graphics cards that use the GeForce 6800 GPU. Of course that means that they share a number of common features and we thought it would be pointless for us to review them individually as we would end up repeating chunks of the specification. Far better, we thought, to do them as a round-up so we can focus on the differences between one graphics card and another.

SimHQ has put up a review on the ATI Radeon X800 XT PCIe videocard. Announced this past May, the Radeon X800 product series consists of the X800 Pro, the X800 XT, and the X800 XT PE (Platinum Edition). Based on the R420 architecture (R423 for PCIe versions), these chips are 160m transistor parts manufactured using TSMC's 130nm low-k process and have a 256-bit memory interface that supports DDR, GDDR2, and GDDR3.

While checking out Rage3D, I stumpeld upon an Abit Radeon X800 Pro review. Long known for their enthusiast targeted products, Abit is one of the most respected and recognized names around. While their main claim to fame is and probably always will be their motherboards, they also offer a variety of other products that includes: Mini-PC systems, multimedia accessories, and, the focus of this review, video cards.

CoolTechZone published a review on the Gigabyte GeForce 6800. nVidia launched their GeForce 6 series of GPUs a while back and now every board partner has their versions of 6800 flavors, most notably the regular 6800. This is the most popular version of nVidia's GeForce 6 family of products - maybe because of the poor chip yields.

Club Overclockers has put a review online about the VisionTek Xtasy X800 XT graphics card. The X800XT represents the second rung of the ladder in top performance video cards. The Coveted X800XT Platinum Edition is, for all intensive purposes, the same card with the only differences being the clock speeds of the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) and GDDR3 video memory which has the obvious effect on overall performance.

A look on Guru3D has revealed a Galaxy GeForce 6600 review. Strong, that's the only word to describe nVidia's GeForce Series 6 line of graphics processors. They are dominating and slowly saturating the market with a product in every price class. Basically a graphics card for any budget. Today's test therefore has to be another GeForce Series 6 product. We'll bring you a review on the regular GeForce 6600, not the GT No, this is the cheaper standard 6600. Today we will be testing the PCI-Express model and this little puppy that is running at a 325MHz core with 550MHz DDR 128-bit memory.

On Viper Lair we spotted again a new review, this time it is all about the ASUS Extreme AX800 XT 256MB PCIe graphics card, which is an enthusiast level PCI Express part. As you can gather from the name, this video card is based on ATI's flagship X800 XT VPU. When shopping for a new video card, you'll likely fall into three categories...non-gamer, casual gamer, and serious gamer. Non-gamers will either pickup the cheapest card they can find, or use whatever is bundled or integrated into their current PC. If you're a hardcore gamer, you'll have to expect to pay a little more as the latest action games are demanding more out of your hardware than ever before.

Bit-Tech has published a review on the XFX GeForce 6800 Ultra AGP graphics card. XFX is one of NVIDIA's premier board partners. By this, we mean that they are allowed to hand pick the GPU's in order for them to be capable of reaching higher clock speeds than what the majority of NVIDIA's other board partners are capable of. This particular board is clocked at 450MHz core and 1100MHz on the memory, as opposed to the reference 6800 Ultra speed of 400/1100MHz.

AREA 51 AXL X2 is likely to be the world's first available SLI setup. It comes from Alienware and it will use Intel's Tumwater chipset rather then nVidia's nForce 4 SLI. I guess Alienware is doing this simply because Tumwater is available now while nForce 4 will apparently come later.

Elite Bastards have
taken a look at the new Far
Cry 1.3. We're all used to modern games being patched frequently these days.
We're also used to patches that add extra content, such as new multi-player maps
and the like. What we aren't so used to is game patches that add a lot of new
features to the game's rendering engine.

PCI-E for short) and how it stacks up with what is currently available on the
market, and what this means to average users and power users alike.

Hexus has put up a new review on the ATI Radeon X700 XT and X700 PRO. Well ATI shipped me a new X700 XT, one which has had more thorough testing, just for the purpose of getting a better handle on the thermals and to reevaluate performance on a newer driver build. It also looks like they've listened to what reviewers said about the original XT boards that were sent out. The cooling solution on this later X700 XT is subtlely different to what we saw before.
